Obituary

Joyce Howard Purcell, 87, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Evans Memorial Hospital. She was born November 2, 1934 to John Christopher and Flossie Baxter Howard and lived here all of her life. Joyce was retired from Canoochee Electric Membership Corporation as a data management clerk and was an animal lover. She attended Northside Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Darwin Purcell, sisters, Pena Bradley, Lois Purcell, brother, H.C. Howard.

            She is survived by:

                        Sister, Doris Smiley of Meldrim, Georgia

                        Nephew, Chris Gross (Sheila) of Glennville, Georgia

            Special friend, Earnal Moser, several other relatives also survive.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Friday, July 22, 2022 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 22, 2022 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Glennville City Cemetery.
