Coy Durden

Mr. Coy "Cheese" Durden, age 60, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at East Regional Georgia Medical Center in Statesboro after a short illness.

Mr. Coy was born on November 6, 1957 to Mr. Darnell and Mrs. Dollie Durden, he lived most of his life in Aline. Mr. Coy was a farmer and manager of Durden-Franklin Farms. He attended Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church and in his spare time enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Darnell and Dollie Durden; brother, Wayne Durden and sisters, Delorse Collins and Linda Randall.
He is survived by his long time companion, Brenda Gail Monroe of Aline; son, Cory Durden of Aline, step-son, Timmy Monroe (Jamie) of Cobbtown and grandchildren, Abby Gail Monroe and Evan Monroe; brothers, Onnie Durden (Jennifer) of Friendswood, TX. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held at 1-3 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2017 from the Metter Chapel of Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2017 from the Metter Chapel of Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes. Burial will be private.
